- Description
Red agate beads, each 6 mm, in a rich, saturated crimson that has made this stone coveted since antiquity. First identified along the Achates River in Sicily around 300 BCE by Theophrastus, a student of Aristotle, agate was carved into Babylonian seal stones and Roman amulets for centuries before reaching the workshops of Egyptian artisans who shaped it into elaborate vessels. Each bead holds a depth of colour that shifts subtly between deep cherry and warm sienna. Finished by hand in our Lithuanian atelier. Presented in Aventari signature packaging.
