- Description
Rhodonite beads, each 6 mm, in a distinctive rose-pink with occasional dark veining that gives each stone its character. First discovered in the Ural Mountains of Russia in the 1790s, rhodonite became the country's national stone and was featured in the ornate works of master Fabergé. Its name derives from the Greek rhodon — rose. In Russia it was known as orletz, the eagle stone, after the belief that eagles carried fragments to their nests. Each bead carries a depth of pink that ranges from soft blush to deep raspberry. Finished by hand in our Lithuanian atelier. Presented in Aventari signature packaging.
